About This Spot

Stepping into The Dock Ellis feels like finding your spot among friends for a night where the game, good food, and a welcoming vibe come together naturally. Nestled along Dundas Street West, this Toronto sports bar offers a laid-back rhythm that invites you to settle in, whether you’re here for the big game or simply to unwind. The space buzzes with low-key energy—cheers rise from screens, the casual clink of glasses punctuates easy conversation, and there’s a genuine sense of community in the air.

The Dock Ellis is the kind of place where the bartenders remember your name and the kitchen crafts each plate with care, turning classic pub fare into unexpectedly satisfying bites. Expect more than the usual wings and burgers—there’s a thoughtful touch in every dish, from mouthwatering poutine loaded with rich, housemade toppings to crispy, uniquely sauced wings that hit just the right note. Whether you opt for a locally brewed beer or a well-poured Jameson, the drinks complement the atmosphere perfectly—relaxed and unpretentious, with a few interesting surprises along the way.

This bar shapes itself around shared experiences: fantasy hockey drafts in cozy private rooms, lively Superbowl gatherings, or even a spirited punk rock night that livens up the weekend. The mix of authentic Canadian sports spirit and a friendly, familiar crowd makes it easy to linger past the final whistle. It’s a genuine local gem that balances vibrancy with comfort, where regulars and newcomers alike feel like part of the same story.

For those who come with appetites as big as their love for the game, The Dock Ellis offers a welcoming seat, a warm smile, and flavors that remind you why this neighborhood spot is more than just a bar—it’s a place to belong.

Cool place with a laid back vibe. Food was better than expected for a bar. We were in the private room downstairs for a fantasy hockey draft and it was great!

Watched the Superbowl here and had a great time The beer selection was as unique as the food options. Highly recommend the Kimchi fries and Nachos, and always check the specials on beer for some interesting options. Service was fast and friendly. It's a dive alright, but barely.

Stop searching. You won't find a more authentic Canadian sportsbar anywhere around. The Dock has it all. The bartender who will remember your name, the chef that will give your plate 100%, the best live sports at any angle (including the PWHL ), and the owners who truly care. Plus super fun games and if you like punk rock, girl/boy you will have a blast on Friday night! They recently opened a No No Room music venue downstairs (yep, it has it's own bar).

Great little bar to be casual and watch sports. Lovely service too! But the real reason I’m leaving a review is for the CHEF!! The food here is UNREAL! He makes everything in-house. The veggie patty is SOO good. My friends had the butter chicken poutine and it is DELICIOUS!! Come here for a bite!! You won’t regret it!

We just went there with some friends for the Superbowl. We were just looking for a place to watch the game. We didn't know the place and weren't expecting anything, but eventually, I just ate one of the best Poutine I ever ate in TO. We also tried the nachos and the wings, they were amazing as well. Great atmosphere and great selection of beer, for a reasonable price, I'll be back there for sure !

Authentic Sports Bar with elevated food! Staff are attentive and quick, toss in some humour and everyone is welcome at this bar. Hands down the best club sandwich I’ve ever had and the salad is fresh and delicious. The chef often makes varying weekly dishes and they are always so so good. Go for the sports and stay for the service and food.

Went there for game 6 nba finals. Okc vs Ind. Place was electric. The bartender Bryan was incredible how he held down a busy environment almost by himself. Would highly recommend especially if your like to watch sports
